Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner while a cast of suspicious characters\, unexpected encounters\, and hilarious plot twists unfold all around them. \nThe evening begins with a reception at 5:30 pm\, followed by the murder at 6:30 pm. As clues emerge and alliances shift\, audience members are invited to play detective — or simply sit back and enjoy the show. DESCRIPTION:Immerse yourself in a world of poetry and art showcasing the power of collaboration and bringing together local artists from diverse artistic disciplines to create new works and showcase existing collaborations created during the tenure of Owen Sound Poet Laureate Rebecca Diem. \n\n\nIn this exclusive Matinee Performance (Sunday Nov 23)\, Diem will perform her collection of works inspired by beach walks with a sleeping baby alongside a series of ephemeral co-creations developed in collaboration with her community. \nThe performance is part of the Poet Laureate’s two-day Multi-Arts Exhibit featuring a collection of visual and experiential poetry\, presented in the Harmony Centre Commons Saturday Nov 22 and Sunday Nov 23. \nEstablished in 2007 by former Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library CEO Judy Beth Armstrong\, the poet laureate program seeks to support and highlight the literary arts in the area. The work of the poet laureate culminates with the creation of a legacy project which is a unique and lasting contribution to the community. \n\n\nAs Diem’s legacy project\, The Poet Laureate’s Community Revue aims to bridge the gap between various creative mediums\, encouraging poets\, musicians\, visual artists\, dancers (& more!) to collaborate on unique\, never-before-seen pieces—and to inspire community members to see the poetry of their own lives\, too. \nDiem has invited audiences to participate in the co-creation of unique\, collaborative poetry – including a 50th Anniversary Summerfolk poem performed alongside more than 1\,000 collaborators – who are then named poets in their own right. \nThis is a one-time only opportunity to immerse yourself in Diem’s world of creativity\, inspiration and collaboration\, and to celebrate the power of community arts. \nReserve your spot here. DESCRIPTION:Come to Harmony Centre for this lively performance as we open up our dance floor for the first time in the Greaves Auditorium. This eight-piece horn band gets audiences on their feet\, celebrating songs that inspired generations to turn down the lights and turn up the volume. \nBoomerang has been dishing out vintage Soul and R&B tunes to sold-out audiences in the area for some time but this is their first appearance in Owen Sound and we want to give them a smashing warm welcome.  You don’t want to miss this one!! \n  \n
