A Thornbury native, Margaret grew up enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Beaver Valley and Grey/ Bruce counties. She continues to draw inspiration from the nuances of beauty found in this area.
Trained in the Studio Arts at the University of Guelph, Margaret worked in Toronto as a fine floral designer and event stylist for many years, honing her artistic eye on film sets and for print media. After much success in the floral industry, Margaret studied Landscape Design at Ryerson University and began her career at a top landscape design / build firm in Toronto.
Margaret understands the intrinsic relationship between design and construction. Working within both worlds allows her to create landscapes that, once constructed, function beautifully and grow into stunning outdoor spaces. When designing a garden, Margaret considers all seasons, existing site elements, scents and textures within the landscape.
