SeaLight Sisters Society

The maritime industry’s greatest strength is its people, but a critical gap in support and safety has long persisted. SeaLight Sisters Society began as a volunteer-led online community, recognizing that women+ in the sector had nowhere to safely share their experiences, find specific resources, or connect with peers who truly understood life at sea.

This overwhelming need forced us to evolve: The community demand was so clear that we formally established the Society as a registered charity.  Our goal is simple, yet profound: to create the world where every woman+ mariner can thrive.

We are dedicated to building out the resources that were missing, ensuring that the unique challenges faced by women+ at sea—from systemic bias to legal navigation—are met with a unified solution.
