Cody Caetano’s memoir, Half-Bads in White Regalia, is an incredibly intense account of his traumatic childhood. His Anishinaabe mother was taken from her family in the Sixties Scoop and his Portuguese father dealt with childhood physical abuse. The resulting family that Cody found himself in was destined for heartbreak.
His memoir won the 2023 Indigenous Voices Award for Best Published Prose and on Saturday April 20 he will hold a memoir writing workshop for anyone interested in learning more about the craft.
To prepare for the workshop you may wish to hear Cody Caetano speak about and read from Half Bads in White Regalia as part of the Owen Sound Memoir Series on Friday April 19 at Harmony Centre.
